Grandma's coming!

Her plane will be landing at 7:50 tonight. And then she'll come home with us. To live! This has been a dream in the making for 17 years, and now she has finally been granted the resident visa! She belongs here now!

It has been 8 years since we've lived together, and I look forward to having the old days back. I will be falling asleep to the sound of happiness tonight. We will be recounting many memories. We'll be talking about what life has been like in Haiti since we've been apart. She'll be stepping foot in the US for the first time. She'll be meeting the twins for the first time. She'll be seeing Peter again for the first time since he was a toddler. The separation is soon over. We'll be doing much laughing. I can't wait.

Here we go. I've started a new blog. I love/hate that familiar feeling. Having gone through a 10 minute process of creating account information (mumbo jumbo that I'll end up forgetting before my next login), I sit here and wonder, "What do I say?". And instantly my mind goes blank. And then I ask another question, "Why did I create this thing to begin with?"

And after a while... I remember. I've created this blog to post photos of my random adventures in photography, post news/links on websites as I design them, keep in touch with friends (there are no "guests" here), and post whatever appears interesting to me at any given moment. 

I hope you stick around. I might even make waffles.
